Long ago the cheeky gnawer of the gods Ratatoskr, delivered messages between the roots and branches of the world tree, over the millennia he would begin to have many children in hopes he might destroy the world tree, of these children was one of chaos, the Squirrel Sif. Seeking adventure and to bring more chaos to the realms she set her sight on the Dwarven world, Svartalfheim. Using the branches of Yggdrasil she scurried and climbed until she was able to jump into the realm landing in the barren fields of the dark plane.

From here Sif sought to find the brothers who made Thor’s mighty hammer, but instead found Skavuli, a talented but overlooked Smith, who at this time was violently drinking being spiteful of the fame of the four dwarf brothers who made wonderful gifts for the gods.

Sif took the chaos of the Dwarf and used it against him. “What if you made a gift for me, the grandchild of Ratatoskr?”

The dwarf, startled by the disembodied voice, called out “Spector, show yourself to Skavuli, the finest maker of the Dwarves!”

The small squirrel used magic and changed into a humanoid form, “If you were truly the finest maker then make me a axe that can chip away at Yggdrasill’s wide trunk, a weapon that would show the gods you are better.”

​

“The world tree can only be damaged by itself, I would need a drop of fresh dew from the leaves, a root, and an acorn from the highest branches to make such a weapon.”

“Give me three days and I will return with the items you requested.” She said canceling the magic and scurrying away from the dwarven world, she collected Dew from Vanahiem, an acorn from Asgard, and the root from Helheim before returning to Skavuli.

The Dwarf, impressed with the efforts of Sif, crafted her an axe that changed size depending on the wielder, Bítaýr

(Bita=bite, yr=Ash tree[Biter of Trees, or tree biter]).

 

Sif thanked the Dwarf and promised she would make the gods tremble from its power, before proceeding to take a chunk from the trunk of Yggdrasil making the nine realms quake from a single stroke.

Fearing the wrath of the gods, the young Sif scurried to midgard and became a Vtuber as she hid from the gods sight.
